The Jeep Gladiator has definitely been one of the most exciting things to happen on the Jeep lineup over the past several years. The Jeep brand has always been an industry leader in the utility vehicle game, but the last time they had produced a pickup truck was in the early ‘90s. So, seeing the return of a truck to the Jeep brand, especially one with a familiar nameplate (as there was a Jeep Gladiator from ‘62 to ‘88), was a very big deal. Now, the 2024 Jeep Gladiator is available right here in Owasso, Oklahoma, with plenty of new features and updates. We thought we’d dive into some of the highlights to show you what makes it such a great option within the midsize pickup truck segment.
“The new 2024 Jeep Gladiator delivers unmatched capability and value in the only midsize truck that gives customers true open-air freedom. This new Gladiator delivers a more refined and technologically advanced interior with available 12-way power seats and improved safety with standard side-curtain airbags for a starting U.S. MSRP less than $38,000 with more content and a lower starting MSRP than the truck it replaces.”
– Bill Peffer, Senior Vice President and Head, Jeep Brand North America
The 2024 Jeep Gladiator is packed full of great content that enhances everything from its off-road capabilities to the convenience and comfortability of its cabin and so much more. Before we dive into some of the important technical specs that make the Gladiator such a great option within its segment, we thought we’d start by highlighting some of the most exciting features and technologies that make the Gladiator what it is.
This list only begins to scratch the surface of all the content that comes standard or is available on the different available trim levels. Higher trim levels offer more content than the lower models, with the Willys, Mojave and Rubicon lines each offering something different overall, as each of these trims builds onto the Sport S trim.
Regardless of which trim level you opt for, your 2024 Jeep Gladiator will be powered by a 3.6L V6 engine capable of generating 285 horsepower alongside 260 pound-feet of torque. The engine can then be tethered to either the standard six-speed manual or available eight-speed automatic transmission. You’ll then be able to choose one of the seven available trim levels, starting with Sport then moving up to Sport S, Willys, Mojave, Mojave X, Rubicon and Rubicon X. The X trims are new this year and build onto their respective trim levels, offering even more value at the top of their lines. You’ll also be able to choose between nine total exterior color options, including the new option called Anvil. Here’s a quick table that compiles some of the Gladiator’s most important technical specs.
Horsepower | 285 hp |
Torque | 260 lb-ft. |
Max Payload | 1,725 lbs. |
Max Towing | 7,700 lbs. |
City Fuel Efficiency | 17 mpg |
Highway Fuel Efficiency | 22 mpg |
