There have been a ton of exciting announcements for the 2025 RAM 1500. The introduction of several new electric variants as well as the new off-road-oriented RHO model are some of the biggest highlights of the upcoming model year’s run, but with all the good news comes a bit of sad news for TRX enthusiasts. Though 2025 will see a bunch of new RAM models, 2024 will be the final model year for the high-performance TRX trim level. TRX was first introduced for the 2021 model year but its far-too-short lifespan will come to an end with the 2024 RAM 1500 TRX Final Edition. We thought we’d highlight the specs and features of this special last call model for those of you who might be interested in one final hurrah.
"The introduction of the RAM 1500 TRX ushered in a significant shift in off-road performance trucks with a halo effect that will last for years to come. This current chapter in RAM’s high-performance trucks is coming to a close, but it’s not the end of TRX’s story. While we’ll have more news to come at a later date, we’re proud to offer our loyal performance enthusiasts the very special TRX 6.2L Supercharged V8 - Final Edition.”
– Tim Kuniskis, Chief Executive Officer, RAM Brand–Stellantis
First of all, let’s take a look at any unique features and design cues that come with the special 2024 RAM 1500 TRX Final Edition model. For starters, shoppers will have eight different exterior color options to choose from, including three that are both new and unique to the TRX Final Edition; Delmonico Red, Night Edge Blue and Harvest Sunrise. The following is a list of some of the other unique features and design cues found in the special edition pickup truck.
Like all its predecessors before it, the 2024 RAM 1500 TRX Final Edition will be powered by the 6.2L Supercharged V8 engine that has become synonymous with its name. The powertrain is capable of generating up to 702 horsepower alongside 650 pound-feet of torque, which enables the incredible high-performance truck to hit a top speed of 118 miles per hour, accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 4.5 seconds and even run a quarter mile in 12.9 seconds at an average speed of 108 mph.
This pickup truck is absolutely incredible, and with only 4,000 units having been built, it’s incredibly rare. Considering this marks the end of the four-year-old icon, it remains to be seen what the future holds for high-performance in the RAM lineup. As the brand’s CEO, Tim Kuniskis, said above… this is “not the end of TRX’s story.” We’re not exactly sure what that means, but perhaps this is just a bump in the road for the TRX nameplate and we’ll see it return.
That’s just conjecture at this point, so be sure to check back on the Jim Glover CDJRF website often for further updates as we’ll be sure to fill you in as soon as we hear anything else. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us right here at the sales desk at your earliest convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
