Let’s start by highlighting the breakthrough hybrid powertrain that will underpin the all-new 2026 Cherokee. The compact crossover is powered by a 1.6L turbocharged four-cylinder engine tethered to a pair of electric motors and a high-voltage battery, which all combine to make up this hybrid propulsion system.

Exterior Design Cues & Interior Dimensions
After its two-year hiatus, Jeep wanted to make a solid first impression when introducing the sixth-gen version of the vehicle, which means updates to the exterior. Drawing inspiration from 50 years of legacy, the softer curves of the most previous iteration have been replaced with sharper edges and a more imposing stance.
That bigger stance isn’t just figurative, either. Jeep actually increased the dimensions of the crossover, making the new model 4.7” longer, 1” wider, and 2” longer thanks to an increased wheelbase of 6.4”. And this increase in size extends to the interior as well, bringing more space for cargo and passengers alike.
