RAMBox Storage Hacks for Work & Play

Every single RAM pickup truck is built to be powerful and capable, but they’re also quite versatile. Whether you need to haul around a bed full of stuff, trailer a boat or tackle an off-road trail on your weekend adventure, your RAM is up to the task. But that’s not the only kind of versatility we’re talking about, they also offer versatile storage options as well.

 

The biggest example of this is the RAMBox, which was introduced back in 2009, has become a staple available feature on the entire lineup of trucks. Today we’re going to talk all about the RAMBox, first explaining what exactly it is and has to offer, before diving into some storage hacks for work & play, which will help you get the most out of this great feature.

The RAMBox is an incredibly useful tool if you work the kind of job where you’re going to be carting around other types of tools and equipment on a regular basis. Here are three ways RAMBox can make your job easier:

• Easily Organize Tools
  • The most obvious and simplest way to take advantage of your RAMBox compartments is to use them as mobile toolboxes. To easily organize them will take a little bit of extra work, but you could make foam inserts or custom-fit modular tool trays to keep all of your different tools separated and easily accessible.
• Cord & Cable Management
  • If your job requires a lot of cabling or extension cord use, you could manage them quite easily in your RAMBox compartments. Some velcro straps or magnetic hooks will make finding and grabbing what you need a cinch.
• Mobile Safety Kit
  • It’s often recommended to carry a first aid kit in any vehicle, but if your job requires more first aid than most you might need more than that. You could turn one whole side of your RAMBox to being a mobile safety kit, packed full of flares, reflectors, first aid gear and more.

Wouldn’t it be way better (and, well… cooler) if it was built right into your truck? Since the RAMBox is weatherproof and drainable, you can load one or both compartments up with ice and pack in all your favorite drinks and snacks!
• Bait & Tackle
  • Since the RAMBox is built right into the sidewalls of your truck bed, they should be long enough to safely and securely store your fishing poles. Then you can use the rest of the space to organize your tackle boxes and other fishing equipment.
• Camping Essentials
  • Neatly and safely store all of your compact camping gear into your RAMBox compartments so you know you’ve got it and so you can easily find and retrieve it. You don’t need to unpack everything at the site, so use it to store the things you can grab as you need them.
