Using the Jeep Trails Offroad App in Oklahoma: Set Up & Best Routes

Published on Jul 21, 2025 by Jim Glover Creative Team

The Jeep brand is well aware of its reputation as one of the best off-road vehicle manufacturers on the market, which is precisely why they have partnered with Trails Offroad in the development of an app integrated right into the Uconnect 5 infotainment system on select Jeep vehicles. You can feel more confident each and every time you decide to navigate the forested trails throughout Oklahoma, and more adventurous by discovering and exploring routes you didn’t even know existed. Today we’re going to walk you through using the app, including some specifics on set up and a few of the best routes in the area.

Getting Started: Set Up Made Simple

Let’s start by giving you the rundown on how to set up the app, so that you can get all the great benefits of the Jeep Trails Offroad app. If your Jeep is equipped with the Uconnect 5 NAV system as well as Jeep Connected Services, there’s a good chance you have access to the Trails Offroad app on your infotainment system. Here’s a step-by-step process on how to get it going:

  1. Activate Jeep Adventure Guides
    • First things first, you’re going to need to login to your Jeep Connect account and subscribe to the Adventure Guides All-Access Membership. If you’re a new Jeep owner, you might have received a complimentary trial!
  2. Link Your Account
    • Next up, you’ll have to visit the website www.trailsoffroad.com/gma in order to link your Jeep Connect account with Trail Offroad. You should be prompted to create an account with Trails Offroad, unless you already have one to login to.
  3. Wait for Sync
    • Make sure you follow these steps well in advance of when you actually want to use the app, because the next step is to allow up to 24 hours for the accounts to sync. But once they do, you’ll have access to over 3,000 trail guides including the Jeep Badge of Honor trails.
  4. Access via Uconnect
    • Finally, you’re all ready to go, and you can open Off-Road Pages on your Jeep’s display then select Trails Offroad. Now you can browse all of the trails, including difficulty ratings and locations, then start navigation!

One more thing to keep in mind, you may want to download offline maps before heading out. Off-road trails are typically in remote areas where service can be spotty, so downloading the maps ensures you’ll have access even if you lose connectivity.

Explore Trails In & Around Oklahoma

Unfortunately, Trails Offroad only has one trail map here in Oklahoma. The excellent Kiamichi Trail – perhaps better known as K-Trail – has a moderate rating and is typically open year round. It’s a straight-through trail located near Muse, Oklahoma, which is about three hours southeast of Tulsa. You’ll have over 30 miles of trail to play with, with the highest elevation being 2,451 feet.

But just because there aren’t any other official trails in Oklahoma, doesn’t mean there aren’t any other trails you can visit. If you’re up for taking a long drive before tackling the trails, there are currently 82 different trails within 200 miles of Tulsa, and 205 if you expand that to 300 miles. And as mentioned, over 3,000 maps total, so explore as much of the country as you can!

Now that you know how to get your Jeep Trails Offroad account and app all set and ready to go, it’s time to pick a trail and see how you do. If you have any further questions about how the app works or how to set up your account, don’t hesitate to give us a call here at Jim Glover CDJRF we’d be happy to help.
